About Us & How We Compare

An independent English guide to Dutch home internet. Here is how we research, how we present prices and how this site is funded.

Updated October 2026 Independent guide Written in plain English
Desk with laptop and notebook used to research and compare internet packages

Why this site exists

Arranging home internet in the Netherlands is straightforward for Dutch speakers who have done it before. For newcomers it can be confusing: terms such as glasvezel, meterkast, Overstapservice and bedenktijd appear in every offer, contract terms are usually in Dutch, and promotional prices make it hard to see what you will actually pay.

Internet-Netherlands.nl explains all of this in plain English. Our goal is simple: help you understand your options, pick a sensible package for your home and avoid surprises later.

What we do

How we compare

We describe every provider using the same points, so you can compare like for like:

  1. Connection type and network. Fiber, cable, DSL or 5G, and whose network it runs on.
  2. Download and upload speed. We always show upload, because it matters for calls and backups.
  3. Promotional price and duration. How much you pay at first, and for how many months.
  4. Average monthly cost. A fairer number for comparing deals with different discount periods.
  5. Included extras. Router, installation, cashback or welcome gifts.
  6. Contract terms. Minimum term and what happens afterwards.

Package data in our tables comes from the comparison feed of our partner Mobiel.nl and from providers' published offers. Prices were last checked in October 2026. Because promotions change frequently, the price shown by the provider when you order is always leading.

What we do not do

  • We do not publish invented reviews, star ratings or testimonials.
  • We do not claim certifications or awards we do not have.
  • We do not hide the regular price after a promotion.
  • We do not let commission decide which connection type we recommend: if 100 Mb/s is enough for you, we say so.

Advertising disclosure

Internet-Netherlands.nl is free to use. To keep it that way, some links on this site are affiliate links. They are always marked with an "Ad" label. If you click such a link and compare or order a package, we may receive a commission from the partner, for example Mobiel.nl through the Awin affiliate network.

This commission is paid by the partner, not by you. Ordering through our link does not change the price you pay. Commission does not influence how we describe providers, and we also link to guides and options that earn us nothing.

Our promise in one sentence

We would rather you choose a cheaper package that fits than an expensive one that does not, because a site people trust is worth more than a single commission.

Corrections and updates

Internet deals change quickly. We review prices and promotions regularly and update the "last checked" date when we do. If a price on a provider's website differs from what you see here, the provider's offer applies. You can always start a fresh comparison for your exact address with our partner tool.
