What 100 Mb/s DSL is good for
The plan in our table delivers up to 100 Mb/s download and 10 Mb/s upload over DSL, the copper telephone line. That comfortably covers browsing, email, HD streaming on one or two screens and regular video calls. It becomes a bottleneck when several people stream in 4K at the same time, when you game competitively or when you upload large files, because upload is limited.
DSL is the oldest fixed technology in the Netherlands and is gradually being replaced by fiber. If fiber is already available at your address, a budget fiber plan may cost only a little more per month for many times the speed.
