Odido Internet: 8 Gb/s Fiber and 5G Without Cables

The former T-Mobile Netherlands offers both the fastest fiber tier in our table and a plug-in 5G box. Here is how each works and what it costs.

Odido is the brand T-Mobile Netherlands has used since 2023. For home internet it stands out in two very different ways: it offers the fastest fiber tier in our comparison, up to 8,000 Mb/s in both directions, and it sells a plug-in 5G box for people who need internet without a fixed line.

That makes Odido relevant to two groups: speed seekers on fiber, and people who need a flexible connection quickly, such as newcomers in temporary housing.

Odido fiber: multi-gigabit where your address supports it

Odido sells fiber internet over partner networks. At addresses where the network supports the latest technology, Odido offers multi-gigabit tiers with symmetric upload. For most people this is far more than needed, but it is a real advantage for creators uploading raw video, households with many heavy users and anyone running a home server or NAS.

To actually use multi-gigabit speed, the rest of your setup must keep up: a computer with a fast network port, good Ethernet cables and a modern router. Over Wi-Fi, a single device will see much lower numbers. Our Wi-Fi and hardware guide explains what to look for.

Odido 5G home internet: plug in and go

The 5G option uses a router with a SIM card instead of a cable. In our table it offers up to 300 Mb/s for a flat monthly price. It is a practical solution in situations where a fixed line is slow to arrange: a short rental, a student room, or the first weeks after moving to the Netherlands. Speeds depend on signal strength and how busy the local mast is, so fiber remains more consistent where available. Read the full 5G home internet guide.

Who Odido suits

  • Gamers, creators and tech households who benefit from very high, symmetric speeds.
  • Newcomers and short stays who need internet quickly without a technician.
  • People combining services who already use Odido for mobile.

If you mainly stream and browse, a 500 Mb/s or 1 Gb/s plan from KPN, Delta or a budget brand may give you the same experience for less.

Why people choose Odido

  • Fastest tier in our table: 8,000 Mb/s download and upload
  • 5G home internet that works without a technician visit
  • Cashback on selected fiber packages
  • Good fit for gamers, creators and home servers

Points to check

  • Multi-gigabit speeds need compatible equipment and cabling inside your home
  • 5G speeds depend on local signal and network load
  • Fiber availability depends on which networks reach your address

Alternatives to Odido

Odido FAQ

Questions about Odido internet

Is Odido the same as T-Mobile?

Yes. T-Mobile Netherlands changed its name to Odido in 2023. Existing customers moved over to the new brand.

Do I really need 8 Gb/s?

Most households do not. A single laptop or TV rarely uses more than a few hundred Mb/s, and most Wi-Fi devices cannot reach multi-gigabit speeds. 8 Gb/s makes sense for heavy uploaders, large households and home labs. Try the speed calculator before paying for top speed.

How does Odido 5G home internet work?

You receive a router with a SIM card that connects to the mobile network. You plug it in and it works, without a technician or a fixed line. It is useful for short stays, temporary housing or while you wait for fiber.

Can I get Odido fiber at my address?

Odido sells fiber over partner networks, so availability depends on which network reaches your home. Run a postcode and house-number check to see the options.

Need a hand choosing?

Odido is one of several fast options. See how it ranks against KPN, Ziggo and Delta in the Internet Netherlands provider comparison, or check the speed calculator first.
